Wakeboarding Competition

Low and behold to all of you blog viewers I do actually work, a little! It is true! Travis might not agree but I am selling an amazing nutritional beverage called MonaVie. We love the stuff so I decided to start distributing it here in Singapore and I am actually doing pretty well. Travis is thrilled that I am actually contributing a bit to our family instead of playing all of the time! The reason I am telling you this now is because the pictures above are of one of the families that is doing really well in Monavie and their 14 year old daughter is a professional wakeboarder. They had a competition here in Singapore so we decided to hang out with them and watch. She is a true talent and she placed 2nd in the girls division. It is incredible to see what they can do out there!

Don't let them fool you! They were the stinkiest, whining, dirty animals I have ever been around! I thought they were really cute from a distance because they are 2 humped which you can only find in this area! They are furry because of the cold winters and they are slow and graceful but boy was I wrong! When we rode them they would whine like we were torchering them! They would poop and flip it with their tails all over the other riders! And the smell was unbearable, the flies loved them too! It was a great experience though! We rode inbetween the humps which was suprisingly comfortable and mine would always bend his head back to itch his nose. He was actually kind of cute!

A few of us made it to the top just in time for the sunset. It was incredible! The Gobi is... unexplainable. God truly is amazing!

This is where an American explorer found the first intact dinosaur skeleton and nest in the early 1900's. I even found a dinosaur bone myself! No joke. I will show you someday just ask me!

Ger Camp

This is how we would sleep every night- 2 per ger with a wood buning stove that would be tended through out the night by ger camp staff. It was more comfortable than camping. if you are interested, there is a web site where you can order a ger for your back yard for around US$1000 and it only takes one hour to set up! Not too bad!

7 Years and 60+ to go!

As you can see the heavens were raining down on us on our 7 year anniversary (just a bad photo really!). We spent the day hiking/walking in the rainforest at MacRitchie Reservoir.
We have had an amazing 7th year of marriage with more adventures than we ever thought possible. Living here has made me realize how blessed I am to have Travis as my lifetime companion. A friend wrote the strangest thing on our wedding card, he said, "May this be the day you loved each other the least". At the time I thought that was bizzare but as the years go on I know it is true for me.
I still get excited when he comes home after work or calls me from a trip, I love it when he makes me laugh or laughs at my silliness, I love talking about our dreams for the future and remembering the past, his encouragment and support give me wings, I miss him when he is traveling, I can't wait to tell him everything! and he puts up with my rambling, I love it when he gets excited, he is my role model and my best friend. I thought I better stop there since I am sure you are wondering if I can get any cheesier!

One of the creatures that startled me on our hike. He crawled out from underneath the wooden path we were walking on and ran into the water when we walked over him. He was about 4-5 feet long. After that I jumped at anything that made a noise. Creepy!
