I told you so...

Despite my numerous warnings, it seems Travis' stubbornness has finally got the best of him! Running late for a meeting and lost out near the airport, the man Travis was planning to meet gave him a call to see if he needed further directions. Since Travis was already 30 minutes late and frustrated, he accepted the call. To those of you living anywhere but here, this may seem completely innocent. However, living here, talking on your cell phone while driving is a BIG DEAL! No sooner had Travis placed the phone to his ear when he saw the flashing red lights from a policeman on a motorcycle behind him. To make a long story short (ask Travis for the details when he's back in Boise), they confiscated Travis' phone and he was informed that he would be hearing from an "investigative officer" to set up an interview. The outcome of the interview will determine the severity of the fine as well as the number of points deducted from his driving record. Just to put it in perspective, it is possible that he could lose his license for up to six months depending on the number of points deducted! Anyway, I thought you all might enjoy hearing how Travis' ridiculous stubbornness finally got the best of him. If only he would listen to me more often... =)

Patiently waiting...

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted but things have been pretty quiet around here. Travis has been traveling like crazy for the last few weeks and will travel all the way up until the day he leaves for Boise. He is packing in the trips so he can relax a bit when we are there. Currently he is in Budapest, Hungary which is a first for him. He was excited to see Europe again since all of his travel has been Asia lately. The following two weeks he will be in Shanghai and I am going to go with him for the first week. It has been a very odd time for me since I have been pregnant. Not that I ever enjoy Travis being gone but usually I keep myself busy so the time flies and it is not so bad but as of late my whole world has changed. I am tired all the time so I can only handle a few hours out which means all the others are spent in a very lonely house that I am starting to loath! My morning sickness is going away but I still have all my 601 food aversions. It is really a shame that I have to eat at all because I would be just fine if there was never food involved, ever! It is such an ordeal for me to figure out what to eat since nothing sounds good and I can definitely not cook. It is probably good that Trav isn't around because I am a horrible wife at the moment. He has been feeling really sorry for me since he is gone so much so he arranged two things to divert me while he is traveling. Next week I am going to Shanghai with him and then he got me on an earlier flight to Boise, one week earlier! I am so thankful to him right now!

So that is my sorry, pathetic life! Can you see now why I haven't posted? I didn't want to bore you but I will try to leave the hotel next week to add some excitement to my life and to this blog! Can't wait to see you Boise folks soon!

If you are wondering about the photo well...it is just to entertain you! They are patiently waiting for us to come back to Boise!

I'm sure you know by now but...we are pregnant!

Here is the proof of the changes soon to come in our lives. We figured we waited long enough and now we are more ready than ever...I'm not sure I will be able to stand to wait the 6 long months ahead!
I have had lots of questions about how I am feeling so I thought I would address that here. So far NOT so good! I am definitely not as sick as some have been but I didn't make it out of this home free like others! It all went down hill at about week 6 when my sister was here. It was great having her here to keep me going otherwise I could have spent most of my days on the couch! It was while she was here that I started to discover my long list of food aversions. It is funny how a lot of them worked out because I pretty much can't eat anything I have eaten since week six. I liked it when I ate it but now I can never have it again! I keep telling Travis that it is too bad I am not like this in real life because I would be a rail! Which is unfortunate for pregnancy since I am supposed to gain and all I can do is lose! Some of the things that can never pass my lips are, I might be sick while I list them!, coffee (how I used to love that stuff!), Indian food, actually Asian food in general minus Dim Sum, milk (and I am supposed to eat as much calcium as possible!), eggs, most sweets and even chocolate! What! That is just the first few of the 601 long list! What really has astonished me is what I am craving! It is all comfort food from when I was a kid or even now and things I generally try to avoid at this stage in life. I have tried not to give in to them very often but I must admit Travis and I were bad last night. Not that he had a choice because it was the first time I cooked in the last 6 weeks! We had macaroni and cheese! Isn't that nuts? Sadly, we were both amazed at how good it tasted after many years of not having it! I see you all shaking your heads at me right now so I will try to be good from here on out. One thing I do like, that you should be proud of, is fruit smooties. I often have them for a meal because that is all I can manage some days. So besides all the food aversions and feeling tired as all get out I am doing great! Pregnacy is so strange.
