Travis and I spent all day Saturday on a guided tour, with Jean, to some near by water villages. We started out in a private garden in Suzhou and then on to a silk factory where silk worms really make the silk! Suzhou is known to be the best silk in the world, so of course I had to by a little! Then we headed to Zhouzhuang water village. This place is known as the Venice of the east and deserves the name! It is beautiful! We took a boat ride where our driver sang some traditional Chinese songs. This is also the city where the last scene of Mission Impossible 3 was filmed so I have it next our queue with Net Flicks (Singapore's version) so we can watch it when Travis gets home! Our tour guide, Jean, was great and she loved to make us pose for pictures, as you can see above!!
