The Cat's Away...
As much as our husbands travel it was bound to happen sometime...they are all gone this week! So we had a slumber party at my house complete with pajamas, gossip magazines, junk food, girl talk and too many chick flicks to choose from! We didn't go to bed until 3am! I am still recovering!

Thailand with Christi
Hi! This is Christi and I wanted to say hello from my trip to Thailand with Jessica. This was the last leg of my first trip to Asia. Travis and Jessica helped to make my trip such an enjoyable experience filled with adventures, great food, and lots of laughs. I hope you enjoy the pictures below that capture a snippet of my unforgettable holiday! “Life is not about how many breathes you take but how many moments take your breathe away.” To Travis and Jessica, thank you for inviting me into your country and home. I can't express to you how much your hospitality and generosity meant to me. I am truly grateful for your friendship! Jessica, I hope that we will stay travel buddies into retirement...well I mean until I retire since it seems that Jessica is already living the life of a retiree. (one more Thai massage for the road?!)
Thailand Excursion
James Bond Island (above) was given this name after they used it in the "Golden Gun". Pretty cool!
We took a quick sea kayaking trip through Phang Nga Bay
We then headed to the jungle for an elephant ride, show and ox cart ride.
If you know Christi at all you know that she is willing to try or volunteer for anything! This elephant gently stepped on her while it continually sucked on her arms and legs. She was a slobbery mess afterwards!

Christmas Day
We had a wonderful Christmas day! After we opened our stalkings we went to a Christmas brunch at the Shangri-La hotel. It was the most amazing buffet any of us have ever seen! We could have eaten for hours but fortunately they kicked us out at 1:30pm for the lunch diners to come in. After the buffet we headed to a friends house for an open house for some MORE food! We didn't eat much but it was nice to prove to Christi that we really do have friends here!
Christmas Morning
We got up early to find it snowing in Singapore! Can you believe it?! When it stopped we settled in the living room to open our stalkings from Santa. We got all kinds of goodies (cinnamon santas!) encouraging us to kick start our diet for the New Year!
Boxing Day
Christi and I started our day near Chinatown at a tea house for a tea appreciation class and then a yummy dim sum (pot stickers) lunch.
Boxing Day continued
We dip our feet into this pool of water and let these aggressive African fish eat our dead skin!
Creepy!

Christi in Singapore!

Christi arrived in Singapore at 3am this past Friday. Her flight was diverted to Alaska due to a medical emergency for one of the passengers on board. Despite the delay, Christi still managed to catch a flight from Hong Kong to Singapore though she did arrive a little late! She is visiting us for two weeks over Christmas and we're grateful that she could join us. We've already toured all around Singapore as you can see in the photos below and we still plan to visit Thailand before she heads back to Idaho. It is now 12:15am early Christmas morning so we would like to officially be the first to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! God bless.

Dinner at the Custer's
On Tuesday Travis' co-workers were in town from China for a quarterly meeting with HP so Travis and I decided to have them over for an American dinner. It was so much fun and they made me feel like the best host in the world! I don't think they eat in very much so this opportunity was a rare event.
Quincy(has been to Boise), Candy (we went to her wedding last year in Hong Kong!), Simon (fresh from a trip to Shangri-la and now I want to go!), Judy (Travis' right hand woman) and Jackie (taught me Mahjong in China). They are a great group, it is too bad they don't live closer!

Oliver Kian
Here is the baby to go with the blanket (below). I got it done just in time to go to the hospital to visit them. He is perfect! With a full head of hair and green/brown eyes. And I love his name!
