Jessie had the idea for us to see Bintan (Singapore's playground in Indonesia). Travis was supposed to come too, but his boss came to town instead, so he didn't make it. So, Kaelan got to have his first girls' weekend, and Mom and I had the chance to experience island paradise for the first time. Nov thru Jan is Northwest Monsoon season, so it's actually been very cool and breezy in Singapore. This translated into crazy swells and choppy seas on the hour long ferry ride over to Bintan! NONE of us has ever experienced a boat ride where the stewards actually go up and down the aisles with seasick bags and extra trash bags. At least 3/4 of the passengers were sick, but the four of us did okay, just a bit shaky when we disembarked our vessel.
