"Trekking" in the Jungle

We took the opportunity to hike in the rainforest near the town of Tanah Ratah in the Cameron Highlands. Our concierge helped us find the best trail, and still it was rugged enough that we nearly had to turn back at the top for lack of signage. It was a beautiful, thrilling hike and Jessica had to keep reminding me that we were really going to be fine. Our cab driver who dropped us off said if we saw a tiger to just give him a kiss and we'd be fine. (Later I found out that there are NO white tigers left in the wild in Malaysia. Which is too bad, but meant that we were very safe from any wildlife on our "trek.")
